Toki Clock
Product Design, 2019
時々 - Toki Doki - Sometimes
The Toki Clock is all about Keeping Time, Sometimes.
Made from frosted plastic and beech wood, Toki has one small clear circle, at the 12 hr marker, making it so that time is blurred in most cases.
In the upper part there are the reminisce of bells from an old alarm clock. But there is no mechanism to make them work.
That way you can take your time, when you need some time.

Using the thermoforming method required making molds that could withstand high heat and pressure.
The molds were machined from MDF and holes were drilled for a good vaccum.

A sand blasting process was used to create the foggy finish inside the acrylic parts.
